Welcome to North Point State Park!
North Point State Park is a Chesapeake Bay waterfront park located in Edgemere, MD. The park is situated on the grounds where Bay Shore Amusement Park once stood, one of Maryland's premier amusement parks in Maryland from 1906 - 1947. Current visitors to the park can enjoy hiking, wading, birdwatching, bicycling, fishing, picnicking, group events, and remnants of Bay Shore Park, such as the restored Trolley Station and fountain.See the History Page for more information about the parks interesting past.

Around the Park...
On Saturday, 27 Aug 2016, the Friends of the Maryland State Parks and Forests, the Friends of Jerusalem Mill, the Percy Lee Dairy Farm Foundation and the North Point Volunteers hosted a volunteer work day at North Point State Battlefield to complete the historically accurate snake rail fence along North Point Road.
North Point is known to fill to capacity on summer weekends and especially holidays.
* All visitors will be turned away if the park fills to capacity.
* Patrons are encouraged to arrive early and carpool if possible.
* You are encouraged to call the park office ahead of your visit during these times.
* You will not be able to re-enter when park is closed.

Park operations including camping, as well as access to the South Cell Trail system, restrooms and observation tower will resume on May 1, 2017.
Hart-Miller Island is closed for the season.
