Welcome to North Point State Park!
North Point State Park is a Chesapeake Bay waterfront park located in Edgemere, MD. The park is situated on the grounds that once were the home of Bay Shore Amusement Park, which was one of the premiere amusement parks in Maryland from 1906 - 1947. Current visitors to the park can enjoy hiking, wading, birdwatching, bicycling, fishing, picnicking, group events, and remnants of Bay Shore Park, such as the restored Trolley Station and fountain.See the History Page for more information about the parks interesting past.

No better way to celebrate Earth Day than helping to spruce up your favorite park! Join fellow park goers and volunteers in getting the park ready for the summer season. We will meet at 8:00am in the Visitor Center. Hope you can join us!

DIRECTIONS
695 South Exit 42 - North Point Blvd./Sparrows Point. Bear right onto 151 South -- North Point Blvd. First left onto Rte. 20 Edgemere/Ft. Howard onto North Point Rd. Proceed approximately 1.8 miles, park entrance is on left.
695 North Exit 43 -- Sparrows Point. Left onto Rte 158 -Bethlehem Blvd towards Edgemere/Fort Howard. Proceed to traffic light at North Point Blvd. Straight through light to 20 South -- North Point Rd. Proceed approximately 1.8 miles, park entrance is on left.
